How it works

We're not just building you a website.
We're building your digital presence.

There's a difference — and understanding it will help you get the most out of ProAgentSites from day one.

What's the difference?

A website is a file on a server. A digital presence is the complete picture Google, AI assistants, and potential clients see when they look for you — your website, your Google Business Profile, your reviews, your listings in professional directories, and how consistently your name and contact information appear across all of them.

The website is the foundation. But the foundation alone isn't enough. Google needs to trust that you're a real, active, locally-rooted professional before it sends you traffic. That trust is built over time, through a combination of technical signals and real-world signals.

ProAgentSites handles the technical half. We coach you on the real-world half.

What we handle. What you do.

We handle the technical signals

From the moment your site goes live, every technical signal Google and AI search tools look for is already in place. You don't configure any of this — it's built into every site by default.

  • Schema markup — structured data that tells Google exactly who you are, what you do, and where you operate
  • Local SEO signals — your name, profession, city, and service area embedded in ways search engines understand
  • Sitemap and robots.txt — so Google finds and indexes your pages correctly from day one
  • Page speed and mobile performance — fast load times on every device, which Google weighs heavily
  • SSL and security — required for search ranking and client trust
  • AI-readable markup (llms.txt) — the signal AI assistants like ChatGPT and Perplexity use when generating local recommendations
  • Ongoing updates — new headshot, updated bio, new service? Email us. Live within 48 hours.

You build the human signals

Google doesn't just read your website. It looks for evidence that real people know you exist and trust you. These signals come from your behavior in the real world — and no one can do them for you.

  • Google Business Profile — the most important thing you can do. A verified, complete GBP can appear in local search results within weeks and is often how local clients find professionals before they visit the website at all.
  • Client reviews — Google counts them, weighs them, and uses them to decide whether to show you to strangers. Every satisfied client is an opportunity.
  • NAP consistency — your Name, Address, and Phone number need to match exactly across your website, GBP, and any directories. Inconsistencies erode trust.
  • Directory listings — Zillow, IIABA, Bankrate, NAHU — wherever your profession has a directory, you should be in it with consistent information.
  • Social media — a link from your active LinkedIn or Facebook to your site is a trust signal Google notices.

We coach you through all of this. Once your site is live, we send you a step-by-step guide covering exactly what to do and in what order. It's not complicated — it just needs to be done consistently.

How long does this actually take?

The honest answer: it depends on which signal you're watching. Here's the realistic picture.

Days to weeks

Your site is live and indexed

We submit your sitemap to Google the moment your site goes live. Google typically indexes a new site within days to a few weeks. This means your site exists in Google's database — but appearing in search results for competitive terms takes longer.

Branded searches — people who already know your name — will usually find you quickly once your site is indexed.

2 to 6 weeks

Google Business Profile starts working

This is your fastest path to visibility with strangers. A verified, complete Google Business Profile can appear in local search results and the map pack within 2 to 6 weeks of setup — sometimes faster in less competitive markets.

This is where we start. Setting up your GBP correctly is the first thing in your coaching guide.

3 to 6 months

Organic traffic begins building

New domains go through what's sometimes called a "trust period" — Google takes time to evaluate whether a new site is legitimate and authoritative before ranking it for competitive searches. Clients who set up their GBP, collect reviews consistently, and get listed in relevant directories begin seeing meaningful organic traffic around the 3-to-6-month mark.

6 to 12 months

Consistent results from people who don't know your name

This is the full picture — organic traffic from prospects searching "realtor in Austin" or "independent insurance agent near me" who have never heard of you before. It takes 6 to 12 months to reach this stage on a new domain, even with everything done right.

That's not a flaw. It's how Google works. And it's why we're transparent about it upfront — so you know what you're building and can measure progress realistically.

What separates clients who see results from those who don't

In our experience, the difference isn't the website — it's what the client does after it goes live. The clients who see results fastest are the ones who:

  • Set up and verify their Google Business Profile in the first week
  • Ask every satisfied client for a Google review — not once, but as a habit
  • Respond to every review, positive or critical
  • Keep their NAP (name, address, phone) consistent across every platform
  • Get listed in the directories relevant to their profession
  • Publish one local blog post per month — even a short one

None of this is complicated. It's consistent effort over time. We give you the guide. You do the work. The results compound.
